League Announcements – Week of 1/23

Good afternoon X-wing players!

As we head into the dead of winter, we can only offer one piece of advice for staying warm – more X-wing! It’s a scientifically proven fact that repeat X-wing games can raise the ambient temperature of a room to tolerable levels and beyond! With that in mind, come on down to Mayhem Comics tonight at 5pm to keep yourself out of cold.

We’ll be playing tournament prep games for Denver and Chicago regionals, taking another crack at Heroes of the Aturi Cluster, and in general celebrating the new movie title released today:

Also, anyone who’s interested in the team-oriented Des Moines cup, should head to our FB page and sign-up. You can find the details, formats, and rules breakdown there. It’s gonna be an awesome event with some pretty sweet prize support. Once we have an official set of dates, we’ll let you know 🙂

League Announcements – Week of 1/16

Good afternoon X-wing players!

We had an incredibly successful weekend up at the Minneapolis Regional. Four players made the top 16 (five including a drop) and proceeded to dominate all the way to the top 2. Congratulations to Kyle, Nick, Paul, Victor, and Wayde on their excellent gameplay. Both Paul and Victor (an honorary Des Moines player) made it to Top 4, with Victor continuing on to the final table!

Congratulations to all of our players and good luck in future events!

Courtesy of the absolutely atrocious weather out, Mayhem Comics will not be open this evening and we will not be having our usual league night. But next week, get ready to get back into the action. And of course, if you’re looking for a game on any other night, just post it to the Facebook and see who’s around!

League Announcements – Week of 1/9

Good afternoon X-wing players!

We hope you all enjoyed the relaxing last few weeks because we’re back at it with competitive X-wing! The Minneapolis Regional Championship is happening this weekend and we’ve got a crew coming down to Mayhem tonight to get in some practice before the big event. If you’re looking to get ready for a tournament, tonight’s the night to come on down!

Of course, we don’t want to discourage our casual players either! There’s plenty of space for everyone and we hope we’ll see our more relaxed players there as well – we’ll have plenty of casual games running, along with some veterans on hand to help talk you through some of the finer points of  X-wing.

Whatever your style, and whatever your list, Mayhem Comics is the place to be tonight starting at 5pm so come on down and experience the fun. If you’re new, don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and if you’re not, we’ll have plenty of games for you to enjoy.

Good afternoon and Happy New Year X-wing Players!

Hard to believe we’ve already rang in 2017. We hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and hope you’re also ready to jump into the New Year with some excellent X-wing play. In just two weeks time we’ve got the Twin Cities Regional coming up so keep up with our Facebook group for details on rides and tournament updates.

If you’re looking to practice your lists for the tourney, stop on down tonight at 6pm to get your game on. We’ll have plenty of players looking for games so we hope to see you there!

If standard deathmatches aren’t your thing, we’ve also got two separate Heroes of the Aturi Cluster running at the moment and are always looking for interested players. Check out the rules at the link below and bring your call-sign for some excellent co-op gameplay. A big thank you to Sean Esser for being our official rules guru!
