We’re already into the thick of August and you know what that means? Iowa State Fair time!

If you can peel yourself away from all the goodies on a stick and various types of shaped butter, then come on down to Mayhem Comics tonight for our weekly get together. We’re all gearing up for the release of Wave 9 and some of the lucky few with early-bird ships are sure to be there showing off and getting in some good practice with new pilots.

Also, a friendly reminder to register for the Fel’s Free-For-All Invitational! Our gracious hosts at Jay’s CD and Hobby need a good head count to increase our level of prize support so head to the Facebook event page and let us know you’ll be there!

Gencon has come and gone, leaving us with all kinds of goodies to ponder. With Wave 9 shipping soon, and Wave 10 on the horizon, now’s an awesome time to be an X-wing player!

Finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, it’s the 2016 Fel’s Free-For-All Invitational. It’s our annual 35 point deathmatch where kills are king. So bring your nastiest 35 point ship, load it up with pain and suffering, and come on down to Jay’s CD and Hobby on Sunday 8/21 at noon to see what you’re made of. Good afternoon X-wing players!

August has arrived and with it an exciting new preview for the Shadowcaster. If you haven’t already, check it out on FFG’s website. It’s got all kinds of interesting goodies to show off and is really the first expansion to allow for dynamic changes to the battlefield’s layout.

Fun stuff!

Of course, if you have already seen it and are itching to get ships on the table, then you’re in luck! Tonight at Mayhem Comics, we’ll be getting together for our weekly league nights. Come on down to bash ships together, play around with combos (like those new Imp Vets) and prepare for the coming of Wave 9.

And in case you haven’t hadn’t a chance to check it out yet, we’ve got our weekly tournaments every Sunday at Jay’s CD and Hobby. Watch the Facebook page for updates on times and details.
