League Announcements – Week of 2/29

Good afternoon X-wing players!

Today is that wonderful anomaly that comes by every 4 years – the mythical February 29th. To celebrate this leap-iest of days, we’ll be down at Mayhem Comics at 6pm preparing for our Store Championship which is only two weeks away!

Over the weekend we saw some excellent gaming on Saturday with Benedict, Marshal, Nick, and Caleb getting together to mash lists and beat faces. It’s going to be a fantastic tournament and we couldn’t be more excited for the diverse meta that we expect to see there on 3/12 🙂

On a separate and more sobering note, this weekend fellow gamer Nick Post lost his father. Nick has been a part of the X-wing community since the Fall of 2015 and has been a near constant presence at league nights and events since he started. Below is a picture of Nick and his father:

Nick, we’re so sorry for your loss and want you to know the community is here for whatever you need during this difficult time.

Monday is here and with only a few weeks between us and the Store Championship come on down to Mayhem Comics to get in some practice, hang out with some fun characters, and blast tiny ships to pieces with your own tiny ships. There’s a good time to be had by all and with our current turnout finding a game is easier than ever.

Monday is here once more and after the exciting article published by FFG last Friday, we’re ready to smash ships together and formulate strategies to use/abuse all the goodness that was shown. Come on down to Mayhem Comics at 6pm tonight to experience the fun!

Good afternoon X-wing players!

We had an awesome weekend at Geek City in Coralville, IA with our very own Nick Post winning the Store Championship with his tried and true Dash/Corran list. Great job Nick! The rest of the crew had a great time as well and we’re looking forward to preparing for the rest of the 2016 Store Championship season!

Come on down to Mayhem Comics tonight at 6pm for our usual league night and get in on the X-wing action. We’ll be smashing together lists, tearing up tried-and-true combos, and experimenting left and right in preparation for the rest of the spring.
