League Announcements – Week of 12/19

Good Afternoon X-Wing Players!

Its Monday and you know what that means, its time for tiny ship smashing tonight at Mayhem (anytime after 6pm)! With the recent release of the U-Wing and Tie Striker its time to get some practice in before the upcoming January Regionals! (Running 4 U-Wings will totally be a thing)

However, if you are feeling up for a new adventure join us tonight for Heroes of the Aturi Cluster! It is a fan made campaign for X-Wing that pits you and friends against swarms of Tie Fighters who are smarting than they appear! Heroes will step players through multiple different scenarios from total annihilation of the enemy to secure the objective before jumping to hyperspace, and many more. Due to interest in those that were not here last week we may be running 2 different campaigns!

Also I hope everyone that has seen Rogue One loved it as every bit as much as I did, but please tonight lets be conscientious of those around us and not drop any spoilers!

Good afternoon X-wing players!

Our Des Moines crew is on fire! We had our second Regional tournament this last weekend, this time in Kansas City and Kyle Doerhoff made it to the top 8 with triple T-70s. Way to go Kyle! The rest of the crew finished out like champions with great showings across the board. Here’s a picture of the crew rocking out at the event:

A good looking bunch, rocking some excellent t-shirts. Nice job everyone!

Of course, that’s just one more Regional down with plenty to go. If you’re looking to get in some practice games before the holiday break or if you’re just after some fun games with some great players, come on down to Mayhem Comics at 6pm to experience the joy.

Good afternoon X-wing players!

While FFG has been busy posting sweet articles on all the new goodness (both the U-wing and Tie Striker respectively), our league has been preparing for Regional Season. After an excellent turnout at the Omaha, we’ve got our second coming up this weekend, this time in Kansas City. You can find all the details on the Facebook event and carpool discussion on our own Facebook page.

Of course the best way to prepare for Regionals is to come on down to Monday nights at Mayhem Comics. Starting at 6pm (or earlier), you can find some of the best X-wing games in the Greater Des Moines area. So come on down and join us for some quality gameplay.

League Announcements – Week of 11/14

Good afternoon X-wing players!

We hope you all had a fantastic weekend as well, because the Des Moines crew went down to the Omaha Regional and kicked some major butt! We brought ten competitors to the event and despite some car trouble on the way over, everyone had an awesome time.

Both Trent and Wayde made it to the top 8, with 5-1 and 6-0 records respectively. Once in the finals, they flew exceedingly well with Wayde making it to the final table before being bested by an interesting Decimator/Echo list. Congratulations to both our top 8 finalists and everyone else from Des Moines who attended!

Of course, while the first battle was fought, the regional season is just beginning so come on down to Mayhem Comics at 6pm tonight to test your mettle against Des Moines’ best!

If you haven’t gotten a chance to pick up your t-shirt yet, Caleb Bailey will be there tonight to either exchange shirts for cash or proof of payment to Kyle Sellner (via paypal, email, etc.) Stop on by to pick up your awesome shirt! He’s aiming to be there around 6pm so come on down.

Good afternoon X-wing players!

Have we got a slew of updates for you! Not only did the World Championship take place last weekend, and not only is the first regional tournament coming up this weekend, but we finally got our League t-shirts! Check them out below:

We’ve got a list of everyone that ordered a shirt so come by Mayhem Comics tonight to pick up yours. We’ll also need direct cash/check payment ($20.25) by then or proof of payment to Kyle Sellner at that time.
